من ضمن موسوعة العلامة الكبير الشيخ محمد حسن آل ياسين البالغة سبعة عشر مجلداً تأتي المجلدات الثالث والرابع والخامس للحديث عن (سيرة الأئمة الإثني عشر عليهم السلام). خصص المؤلف الجزء الأول منها (المجلد الثالث) لسيرة وتاريخ الإمام علي بن أبي طالب (رضي الله عنه) وقد إشتمل على ثلاثة أحاديث: حديث عن علي المجاهد... خلال حياة النبي (صلى الله عليه وسلم). وحديث عن علي المرتبط بتاريخ الإسلام، من يوم وفاة الرسول (صلى الله عليه وسلم) إلى يوم إجتماع المسلمين وإجماعهم علي بيعته بعد مقتل عثمان. وحديث عن علي الحامل لراية التصحيح والعودة إلى واقع الإسلام، منذ بيعته وحتى استشهاده. أما الجزء الثاني/ المجلد الرابع فقد خصص لسيرة الإمام الخامس محمد بن علي الباقر وقد اشتمل على ثلاثة فصول: تحدث الأول عن تاريخ الإمام (بين ولادته وإماميته) وعقد الفصل الثاني على تاريخ الإمام (بين إمامته وشهادته) وتم التركيز في الفصل (الثالث على (تراث الإمامة) الذي ورثته الأمة عن الإمام كمسائل الكلام والإحتجاج الديني وشؤون اللغة والشعر والأدب. وأما الجزء الثالث/ المجلد الخامس فخصص للإمام محمد بن علي الجواد. وقد إشتمل على ثلاثة فصول إتبع خلالها المؤلف المنهج الذي سار عليه في الجزء الثاني السابق. فخصص الفصل الأول للحديث عن تاريخ الإمام الجواد (بين ولادته وإمامته). وعقد الفصل الثاني على تاريخ الإمام (بين إمامته وشهادته) شارحاً الأدلة على إمامتة في ضوء النصوص النبوية، والنصوص المأثورة عن أبيه، ويأتي الفصل الثالث لبيان (تراث الإمامة) الذي تلقته الأمة من الأمام الجواد بالإستناد إلى المأثور النبوي الذي ورد عن سيد الخلق محمد (صلى الله عليه وسلم).
