التحق الأخ معين الطاهر، الكاتب والباحث والناشط السياسي الفلسطيني، بحركة فتح في سن مبكرة 1967، وساهم في تأسيس السرية الطلابية (الكتيبة) التي عرفت لاحقا باسم كتيبة الجرمق وأصبح قائدا لها منذ سنة 1975، وكان قائدا للقوات المشتركة الفلسطينية اللبنانيه في قاطع بنت جبيل – مارون الراس 1978 وفي قاطع النبطية - الشقيف 1982، وهو عضو سابق في المجلس الوطني الفلسطيني والمحلس الثوري لحركة فتح والمجلس العسكري الأعلى للثورة الفلسطينية.
والأخ الطاهر كاتب وباحث في الفكر العربي والفلسفة الإسلامية والقضية الفلسطينية، وكاتب مقال في صحيفة العربي الجديد حاليا، وله عدة دراسات منشورة ومقابلات وحوارات في صحف ومجلات وقنوات تلفزيونية عدة.
ولد الأخ معين الطاهر في نابلس عام 1952، وتلقى تعليمه في المرحلة الابتدائية والثانوية في الاسكندرية والكويت ونابلس وإربد، ودرس الاقتصاد في جامعة بيروت العربية والعلوم العسكرية في مدرسة المشاة الباكستانية، والدراسات العليا في الفلسفة في الجامعة الأردنية.

يعرض صفحات من يوميات عدنان أبو عودة، تؤرخ للعمل السياسي في الأردن بين عامي 1970 و1988، وتمثل شهادة إضافية تفتح لنا نافذة على كثير من التحوّلات والمنعطفات التي مرّ بها الأردن، وعلى التقنيات التي طرأت على العلاقات الأردنية - الفلسطينية - العربية خلال فترة تدوينها.
تتضمن هذه اليوميات جملة من خبرات كاتبها وملاحظاته وأفكاره حول ما عايشته من حوادث، لا تنحصر في دائرة محيطه الخاص، وإنّما تتجاوزها إلى دائرة الحدث العام، مُشكّلة بذلك إنعكاساً لواقع المشهد من زاوية مُوثّقِهِ.
كما أنّ ما تنطوي عليه من تفصيلات تصنيف أجزاءً جديدة لصور غير مكتملة الملامح، وتقدّم عرضاً مختلفاً لقضايا كثيراً ما كانت شائكة وموضع جدل، وتعيد طرحها من زوايا جديدة ومغايرة، تاركة للقارئ مهمة المقارنة والتحليل والربط وإعادة البناء.
