في هذا الكتاب مجموع يضم ثلاثة كتب للسيد الشريف العلاّمة أبي محمد الحسن بن علي الكتاني الحسني في بعض ما كتبه من مسائل تمس إليها حاجة المسلمين اليوم . أولها : مباحث في العذر بالجهل وإقامة الحجة ، وثانيها : الأجوبة الوفية عن الأسئلة الزكية ، ضمنها المؤلف إجابات مطوّلة عن أسئلة كان قد أرسلها إليه أحد الأخوة من داخل السجن فيها السؤال عن الغدر بالجهل فأجابه عنها . وثالثها : نظرات في الدعوة النجدية ، فيها الكلام عن نقد موضوعي لهذه الدعوة واستعراض سلبياتها وإيجابياتها .
وعليه ، يضم الكتاب آراء ومناقشات حول التكفير والتكليف والجهل بالطاعات أي مسألة تكفير جاهل الطاعات ، ومسألة موالاة أهل الشرك ومسألة الفلاة في الصالحين الأحياء والأموات ، والموقف من التوسل والإستغاثة بالصالحين ، ونظرات حول خلافة الدولة العثمانية ، تتضمن رأي المؤرخين الأوروبيين والعرب ؛ وكيف عطل العثمانيون القوانين الشرعية الإسلامية ، ورسم يتضمن شجرة سلاطين بني عثمان وآخر خلفاء الإسلام .
وأخيراً رأي المؤلف في الفتاوى والإختلاط بالآخرين والإنفتاح عليهم وعلى كتب السلف وتأثر جماعة بمنهج إبن تيمية المعتدل ، مثل عبد الرحمن بن ناصر السعدي ، وغيره .
