لعل المنتوج الموسيقي والغنائي هو الأكثر استهلاكاً لدى الجمهور العربي من ضمن سائر المنتوج الثقافي. الجميع يستهلك الموسيقا والغناء: متعلماً كان أم أمياً، وبمعدل استهلاك عال لا يضارعه شيء آخر. ومن خلال ذلك، تتسرب قيم إلى الذائقة الجمالية فترفع من حساسيتها ورهافتها أو تهبط بها إلى مهاوي الإسفاف. ومن هنا خطورة هذا الإنتاج والمسؤولية القانونية والأخلاقية للذين يقومون عليه: فنانين كانوا أم منتجين أم أجهزة رقابة رسمية أم محطات تلفزيونية.
ولقد حصل ويحصل أن جرى تنظيم مذبحة ضد الجمال والذائقة الموسيقية والغنائية العربية في العقود الثلاثة الأخيرة، من خلال رعاية موجة الغناء التجاري الهابط والصناعة البصرية (الكليبات) التي حملته إلى جمهور عريض من المشاهدين. وكان واضحاً أن هذه المؤامرة -التي اشترك فيها القطاع الخاص مع مؤسسات الرقابة على الإنتاج الغنائي الفضائيات- مؤامرة حيكت بعناية لإفساد القيم الثقافية والجمالية المتحدرة من تراكم أحقاب المجد الثقافي والفني العربي الحديث والمعاصر، وأنها توجهت قصداً إلى فئات المراهقين والشباب لتخريب منظومة القيم لديهم. لقد طفح السيل، وباتت المؤامرة جريمة تستحق وقفة حازمة من كل الحريصين على مستقبل الثقافة والفن في مجتمعاتنا العربية.
يحاول هذا الكتاب أن يضع في حوزة قارئه مادة رصينة للتأمل في واقع الإنتاج الموسيقي والغنائي الحقيقي الذي ما يزال رجاله- لحسن الحظ- يحذفون ضد التيار، مصرين على الوفاء لرسالة الفن والجمال. وهي مادة ساهم فيها موسيقيون عرب كبار وباحثون عرب مهتمون بالإنتاج الموسيقي والغنائي العربي، عساها تكون مناسبة لفتح حوار جدي وعميق حول واقع هذا الفن ومستقبله في ثقافتنا وفي مجتمعنا العربي.
