Polonaises كانت تعني، بالنسبة لي، القصائد التي كتبتُها، عن "آنا تاراكوفا" وبقيَّة الفتيات البولونيات اللواتي عرفتهنَّ وصادقتُهن، خلال دراستي في (وارسو)، شتاء 1978- 1979 إلا أنها مع متابعة كتابتها لأكثر من ثلاثة عقود، توسعت، واستفاضت، وأسهبت، لُتطال تقريباً كُلَّ من عرفته وكلًّ ما عشته هُناك، وأيضاً، وربما الأهم، كُلَّ ما اختلقتُه من أقاصيص حتى بت، مع مرور الأيام والأحداث، لا أستطيع التفريق بين الحقيقي منها والمُتخيَّل...
إنّهُ يعتبرُ صرير الأبواب، موسيقى وضجة الشارع في الصباح والظُهُر والمساء (سوناتا) موسيقية بثلاث حركات، فما بالُك بما يعتبر شعراً.
