وإذا كان للعامة مدعياتهم واستدلالاتهم المختلفة في التمسك بما ذهبوا إليه من القول بالغسل دون المسح، فإن علماء الشيعة الإمامية ومفكريها قد تعرضوا لإبطال تلك الآراء والاستدلالات من خلال البحث والنقاش والمحاجة في متون الكثير من الكتب والرسائل التي لم تترك شاردة ولا واردة إلا وأخضعتها للدليل والبرهان المرتكزين على الأصول الثابتة والسليمة التي يتفق عليها الطرفان، ويسلمان بصوابها، وبشكل لا يسع المرء معه إلا الإذعان والتسليم بصواب وصحة ما قالته الإمامية من وجوب المسح، ودون شك أو تردد.
ولعل الرسالة المائلة بين يدي القارئ الكريم هي نموذج من تلك المساجلات القيمة والتي أبدع في تسطيرها يراع علم من أعلام الطائفة وهو الشيخ أبو الفتح محمد بن علي الكراجكي المتوفى عام 449هـ.وهذه الرسالة مقتطعة من كتابه "كنز الفوائد" الذي صنفه المؤلف لابن عمه، وقد أدرج فيه جملة من مؤلفاته، عدها بعض المترجمين له كتباً مستقلة، وهذا الكتاب هو من أحسن مصنفاته الباقية إلى هذا الزمن، ويحتوي على نفائس من العلوم والفنون، وتفاسير لآيات كثير، ومختصرات متنوعة.
