وتروي سلوك المتحكِّمين في الوادي، والمتمرِّدين عليهم، وجرائم العشق والغرام والحفاظ على السلطة.
هذا إلى جانب الحياة في العالم المتقدم، وفي العالم الثالث، مع ما فيهما من فساد وقيم وطرائق مختلفة عما في الوادي للحفاظ على السلطة، أو لجني المال؛ وحتى في المشاعر الإنسانية من حبٍّ وزواج وعواطف أُسريَّة.
إن القارئ يسبح مع الراوي في الخيال، حتى ليظنُّ نفسه يرى مسرحية؛ لا يقرأ رواية، لعذوبة الأسلوب ورقَّته مع بساطة لا تخلو من أدب رفيع.
