يحوي هذا الكتاب كل المسرحيات الشعرية للشاعر اليمني د.محمد عبده غانم (1994–1912) وهي خمس مسرحيات تاريخية تصور خمس شخصيات كان لها أثر واضح في تاريخ اليمن؛ وهي: سيف بن ذي يزن الذي حرر اليمن من الغزو الحبشي قبيل الإسلام، وفارس بني زبيد عمرو بن معد يكرب البطل الذي حارب في جيش المسلمين في القادسية، وعلي بن الفضل (القرمطي)، والملكة أروى بنت أحمد التي لقبت بلقيس الصغرى، وكانت أهم حكام الصليحيين وأشهرهم، وعامر بن عبد الوهاب آخر ملوك بني الطاهر الذين حكموا اليمن بعد بني رسول (الذين كانوا حلفاء الأيوبيين) وأشهرهم.
