أما شغفه وهمّه الحقيقي، فكان ما تقدمه العاصمة لأخي العرب، من جاه وجماهير وعلو الجانب، حتى لبنان كان يراه صغيراً على شعره، وضيقاً على لغته، فهو ولد لكي تكون اللغة وطنه وأمته وأسرجة خيوله.
لذلك، تلاعب بها وكأنه في مبارزة دائمة مع شاهري سيوفها، واثقاً دوماً بأنه عنترة الوغى".
