في كتابه "قصص الأنبياء" يتتبع الشيخ قطب الدين سعيد بن هبة الدين الرواندي حياة الأنبياء التي جاء بها القرآن الكريم وأخبر بها علماء الإمامية في مصادرهم المعتمدة ويبدأ كتابه بقوله: " وأما بعد فإن في قصص الأنبياء والرسل صلوات الله عليهم ألطافاً تدعو إلى محاسن الأخلاق وعبراً تروع عن الشك والنفاق وإن ذكر أخبارهم وآثارهم مما يقرب من الطاعة والعبادة ويبعد ذوي الإستطاعة من سوء العادة. والكتب المصنفة في هذا المعنى فيها الغث والرد والثمين فجمعت بعون الله تعالى ذلالها وسلبتها جريالها وحصلته مرتباً وفصلته مبوباً ...".
وبناءً على ما سبق أحاط المؤلف بقصص أنبياء الله كما وردت في الأحاديث والإخبار بالتواتر عن الأئمة حتى اشتمل الكتاب على عشرين فصلاً جمعت قصص الأنبياء وهم: آدم عليه السلام وإدريس ونوح وهود وصالح وإبراهيم الخليل ولوط وذي القرنين ويعقوب ويوسف وأيوب وشعيب وموسى بن عمران وإسماعيل ولقمان وداود وسليمان وذي الكفل وعمران وزكريا ويحي وأرميا ودانيال وجرجيس وعزيز وحزقيل وشعيا وأصحاب الأخدود وغلياس واليشع ويونس وأصحاب الكهف والرقيم وعيسى ابن مريم. ثم ذكر أحاديث بني إسرائيل، واختتم بذكر معجزات النبي محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم وغير ذلك من الوقائع والغزوات على ما يأتي شرحه وبيانه، فضلاً عن ذكر المؤلف لأحوال الأصفياء والأمم وكل ما فيه موعظة وحكمة من رسالة الأنبياء صلوات الله عليهم أجمعين.
