والحقيقة أن الخط الجميل يساعد الطالب في مدرسته أو جامعته في الحصول على علامات أفضل من الطالب رديء الخط، فكثير من الطلاب تكون في بعض الأحيان إجاباتهم غير مقنعة في ورقة الإجابات، لكنهم يحظون بتعاطف المصحح لورقتهم فيحصلون على درجة أفضل من طالب رديء الخط فالمصحح يشمئز من كتاباته وخطه فيحرمه من علامة أو علامتين.
