1-تعميق لمفاهيم نظرية الأفعال الكلامية.
2-توسع في إستقصاء المتون التراثية وإستخراج مكنوناتها بلغة العصر.
3-تعديل وإستدراك، خصوصاً فيما تعلق بإستكشاف الإصطلاح العربي الأنسب.
4-مع نظر إلى شيء مما صدر في هذا المجال في أعمال الأكاديميين العرب وغيرهم، وهو أيضاً يتابع ما انتهت إليه أبحاث جون سيرل وغيره في المضمون النفساني والأبعاد الإجتماعية للفعل الكلامي.
فيلاحظ النقلة من الفعل الكلامي إلى الواقعة الإعتبارية وصولاً إلى البنية الإجتماعية (المجتمع)، فيما صار يعرف بــ أنطولوجيا الإجتماع.
فالكتاب يتناول المقابلات التراثية - الصريحة والمستخرجة - لكل ذلك، كما يدافع عن نظرية في أنطولوجيا الإجتماع تبتني على أصول عدة من الفلسفة الإسلامية، أهمها المقابلة بين الطبع والوضع.
