سرعت الديكة وهي تبسط أجنحتها لتساعدها على الإسراع أكثر، واستمرت بالغناء مراراً حتى وصلت إلى قاع وادي (ميسا) على أبواب جبال زوني (إحدى قبائل الهنود الحمر)، وغنت أغنيتها مرة أخرى بصوت واحد باسطة أجنحتها على وسعها محلقة بعيداً فوق أعلى السهول..». من خلال هذه الحكاية يظهر اعتقاد البدائيين أن الطيور المغردة تمارس أوريندا (قوة سحرية) خاصة بها، وعندما يقوم البشر بالغناء فهم يمارسون أيضاً أوريندا.. وهكذا فإن الأغنية تصاحب دوماً طقوس العبادة لدى الهنود الحمر، إذ يعتقدون أنه من الممكن إغراء الآلهة لتمنحهم نعمها عبر إسعادها بالغناء.
