يذكر أن فاخرعاقل ولد في بلدة كفر تخاريم عام 1918 ودرس الابتدائية في مدينة الباب والدراسة المتوسطة والثانوية في تجهيز حلب (المأمون حاليا)، وله (30) كتاباً ب يعتبر عالم النفس فاخر عاقل من أهم الأسماء التي ساهمت في إغناء المكتبة السورية والعربية بأهم موءلفات علم النفس بميادينه كافة فضلاً عن إسهامه كعضو مشارك ومحاضر في الجمعيتين البريطانية والأمريكية للعلوم النفسية ورئاسته لقسم علم النفس في جامعة دمشق.
