يحتوي هذا الكتاب على رسالتين الأولى جاءت تحت عنوان "عنوان التوفيق في آداب الطريق" وهي من تأليف" ابن عطاء الله السكندري" وفيها يشرح رائية أبي مدين الغوث (من بحر البسيط). هذا على صعيد نص الرسالة، أما على صعيد الدراسة التي دونت على الرسالة فجاءت كمقدمة لها واحتوت على ثلاثة مباحث: المبحث الأول: يعرف بأبي مدين، مع تقييد شيوخ وتلاميذه، وذكر طائفة في مصنفاته. والمبحث الثاني ينحو نفس المنحى مع ابن عطاء الله، والمبحث الثالث يتولى ذكر بعض لوازم التحقيق مضموناً، وشكلاً، أما مضموناً فالبحث في نسبة الكتاب إلى صاحبه، وما له صلة بذلك خاصة الإشارة إلى تأمين أبي مدين فيه وملامح ذلك في الكتاب، وأما شكلاً فبوصف المخطوطة المعتمدة هذا على صعيد الرسالة الأولى، أما الرسالة الثانية فهي عبارة عن نص وضعه أبي مدين تحت عنوان "أنس الوحيد ونزهة المريد" وهي تعد من أنفس كتب الحكمة وأجلّها.
هذان الكتابان من جواهر كتب التصوف والعرفان وضعهما عالمان حكيمان يعتبران من اساطين الدين اللذين يُدان لهم بالفضل، فصاغاها بعباراتٍ رائقة ممتعة وقد اشتمل الكتابان على العديد من الحكم التي وجهها العالمان ليتوصل القارئ لهذه الآداب والحكم الى توحيد الخالق ومعرفته بالطريقة السليمة الصحيحة.
