يتضمن الكتاب أربعة وخمسون موضوعاً زراعياً يعتبر أكثرها من مواضيع الساعة التي تهمّ علم الزراعة وتلبي حاجات العاملين فيها وتغني خبراتهم وتنمي قدرتهم على التطور والنمو والعطاء. فهنالك مواضيع لها علاقة بالحشرات الزراعية التي تصيب المزروعات وبمواضيع تعالج شؤون الأمراض النباتية الفطرية والفيروسية ومواضيع أخرى تهتم بالمبيدات الزراعية المستعملة في مكافحة الأمراض النباتية والحشرات، وبالتسميد الورقي في البستنة.
كما أن الكتاب تضمن مواضيع تتعلق ببعض الزراعات كالتين والذرة والشمندر السكري وكيفية تهيئة وغرس وأساليب العناية ببساتين الأشجار المثمرة وأهمية التلقيح فيها، ودور الطيور في توازن البيئة، وحفظ الثمار في البرادات وصناعة الحرير في لبنان، إلى غير ذلك من موضوعات، يعتبر جمعها واحد بمثابة "قاموس" يسهل الرجوع إليه في كل وقت وزمان.
