لقد كان لهذا الكتاب - الرائد في الردّ على فرضيّة داروين وأتباعه - الأثر الفعّال في صدّ أهداف الإستعمار وأذنابه، في التمسك بداروين وفرضيّته لزعزعة الإيمان من قلوب أبناء المسلمين؛ بدعوى أنّ ما توصل إليه داروين يبتني على العلم والتجربة والبحث والتنقيب، وأمثال ذلك من الدعاوي الفارغة.
فبعد ان أثبت الإمام أبو المجد محمّد الرضا النجفي الأصفهاني علميّاً وبالدقّة الفائقة وبالأساليب المتينة، بطلان تلك الدعاوي وعدم صحة أيّة قاعدة من قواعدها وأصولها وعدم نفيها لوجود الله تعالى ولا لخالقيّته، بل إنّ كلّ مفردة من أصول مذهبه تقتضي وجود الخالق البارئ المصوّر من له الصفات الكماليّة والجماليّة التي دلّت عليه أسماؤه الحسنى.
إنّ الحديث عن هذا الكتاب، وشرح مزاياه وخفايا ما فيه، ومدى أثره في تثبيت العقائد الحقّة، إلى جانب تفنيد ما تمسّك به المادّيون الملحدون من فروض وسفسطات، وإلى ما قاله فيه المؤلِّفون في هذا الموضوع، ممّن ذكرناه ومن لم نذكره من أقوال العلماء والمفكرين والفلاسفة الذين عاصروا صدور الكتاب، أو تأخّروا عن عصره.
