يعكف الدكتور محمد مسعود جبران منذ مدة طويلة على دراسة الأدب الأندلسي، وذلك ضمن مساقين مختلفين: الأول: تقويم دراسات تتسم بالرصانة والعمق والتوثيق العلمي.
الثاني: العمل على تحقيق نصوص مجهولة ومهمة، ويعتبر الحصول عليها أيضاً مهمة مستحيلة، ما بالك بتحقيقها ودراستها؟
ولا يخفى على القارئ اللبيب، والمتابع، وخصوصاً في السنوات الأخيرة، ندرة الدراسات و الدارسين والمتخصصين في حقلي الدراسات الأندلسية عموماً، والمغاربية خصوصاً، ناهيك عن لامبالاة الجامعات، ومراكز البحث العلمي بهذا الجانب، الأمر الذي انعكس سلباً على نوع ومستوى وقيمة هذه الدراسات المقدمة ضمن تلك المختبرات. ويعد كتاب اللمحة البدرية في الدولة الناصرية من تأليف محمد لسان الدين ابن الخطيب من أهم المصادر وأوثقها في التاريخ لحياة الدولة النصرية، منذ نشأتها إلى آخر حياة هذا الوزير المؤرخ، واعتمد المؤلف في كتابه هذا منهجاً موثوقاً به، يقوم على وثائق ومستندات معتمدة، كما عاد في كتابته إلى شواهد مكتوبة وأخرى منحوتة وإلى روايات شفهية من الخاصة والعامة، وباعتباره أيضاً شاهد عيان مثقفاً ووزيراً. تأتي أهمية تحقيق هذا الأثر الفريد في اعتماده على مخطوطين قديمين: أندلسي ومغربي لم يعرفا من لدن الباحثين والمحققين والدارسين السابقين، ولم يهتد إليهما من قبل.
الأول: مخطوط أندلسي، فرغ من نسخه وتداوله قبل وفاته بسبع سنوات.
الثاني: مخطوط فاسي مغربي، نسخ في مدينة فاس بعد قرنين كاملين من كتابة المخطوط السابق.
ومعنى ذلك، أن هذين المخطوطين المعتمدين في تحقيق الكتاب، معدودان، بلا ريب، من النسخ الأمهات.
إن دار المدار لتأمل في تقديم نص أدبين تاريخي، يمثل من حيث القيمة التاريخية، النسخة الأم، فضلاً عن تقديم سيرة تتناول حياة المؤلف، وتحصيله العلمي، وآثاره العلمية، وكذلك التركيز على أهمية الكتاب فضلاً عن التوثيق المنهجي. ونأمل جميعاً أن يتحقق الهدف المنشود والمأمول وذلك خدمة للباحثين والدارسين للتراث العربي والإسلامي والأندلسي.
