تحت عنوان (مغناة ... للجوع) نقرأ للشاعر الياس العطروني:
"إليكم.../ أصوب ألمي.../ أزرع قلمي!.../ أهازيج فرح آت.../ ترقصون على شفارها.../ نشوة الحياة!.../ وتحلمون!.../ وتحلمون!.../ بأغاني رغيف دافئ.../ وسقف هانئ/ لن تبقى المزابل/ السوداء.../ حقولاً!.../ تهب للأطفال.../ أرزاً... وبقولاً!.../ لن يدوم الموت ظلاً.../ للعياء...!/ مع ثعابين النطاس؟ .../ وجراثيم!.../ الدواء.../ (...)". يضم الكتاب نصوص نثرية جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: 1- أراقب تحولك الطيفي، 2- مغناة ... للجوع، 3- الهدايا العشر، طائر الرحيل الباكر... والعيون الست، 4- الطمي، 5- وجه السنبلة، 6- الممحاة والشظية، 7- ربما، 8- أنات، 9- تداعيات الطاحونة، 10- شجرة الصبار، (...) ونصوص أخرى.
