إن حاشية العلاّمة محمد أمين عابدين نالت من الشُّهرة، والثّقة عند العلماء والفقهاء والمحقِّقين ما لم ينله كتابٌ جاء بعدها، فلا يستغني عنها عالمٌ، أو مُفْتٍ، أو فقيهٌ، لأنها جمعت من المسائل ما لم يجمعه غيرها، فإنّ فيها ما قاله الأوائل من العلماء الحنفية، وما قاله المتأخّرون مع ذكر ما استقرَّ عليه الأمر في التقوى.
وقد وفق الله تعالى الدكتور الشيخ حسام الدين فرفور لتحقيق النُّسخة المعتمدة، وبذل جُهْدَه في إخراجها محقّقة ومُوثقةً، بالرجوع إلى المصادر التي نقلت منها، فيا له من عملٍ شاقٍّ وجهدٍ كبير.
وقد اطلعت على منهج التحقيق فرأيته منهجاً سليماً من العيوب، بَذَلَ فيه الباحثون من شباب العلماء وطلاّب العلم غايةَ الجُهْد، بتوثيقٍ من الأقوال والفتاوى، وقاموا بعملٍ جليلٍ أخذ منهم وقتاً طويلاً، على أنّهم لا يدَّعون لأنفسهم العِصْمةَ والكمال، ولكنًّ الواقع يشهد لهم بذلك، فجزاهم الله تعالى خيراً.
هذا وإنَّ مما هو جديرٌ بالذِّكر والقَوْل بأنّ كتابَ الحاشية للعلاّمة ابن عابدين أصبح بعد هذا التحقيق والتوثيق والرجوع إلى النُّسخة الخطَّية الأصليَّة من أَهَمِّ الكتب للسَّادة الحنفية، وقد اعتنى فيه بذكر الكتب المؤلَّفة، وذكر مؤلِّفيها وتراجمهم أخذاً من المراجع والمصادر التي تزيد على ستمئة وخمسين مصدراً.
