"بعد انتظار عطاشى كربلا شربوا وألحق شرعاً لهم بالحق ينتسب، مذلاح سيف علي في الجنوب لنا وفتية الله باسم الله قد وثبوا، قالوا سمعنا غريب الطف يندهنا لبيك، باسمك كل البطل ينقلب، طاب الفداء وأبناء الحسين أبوا إلا بوقفة عز مجدنا كتبوا، بين الضواحي وقار الموت مكرمة لله في صدقهم أرواحهم وهبوا، وقفت بين دمي، كل البقايا هنا يحكي الركام، يضج الصمت والعتب، لم تخمد النار لؤم الغدر ألعجها ما زال يقتات من أحقاده اللهب، أدفأت جرحي بدمعي واحتضنت دمي ورجع صوت ضحايا الغدر يقترب، جفت على وجنة المذبوح، دمعته تمزقت مثله في حضنه اللعب، كأنما يده احتجت مقاطعة صوت الجريمة فاغتال اليد الصخب، لم يخجل الصبح إلا من ملامحه عيناه تذكر أن الحق يغتصب، وقربه أمه لم تبكه حبست فيها المنية دمعاً كاد ينسكب، وأخته استنجدت: يا رب أين أبي؟ فما أغاث ولا رد الجواب أب، والغيث آنسها في صوت والدها لبيك ربي، شهيداً، قالت السحب، فاض الجنوب دماً والغيث من دمنا والفجر أمطر نصراً والعدا عجبوا، رأيت وجه أبي في موكب الشهدا خلف الحسين ومن للجنة انتدبوا، لبيك لبيك نصر الله أنت أبي إنا خلقنا لنحيا والفدا سبب".
