واقتضت طبيعة الكتاب أن يكن في مقدمة وتمهيد وثلاثة فصول وخاتمة: فأما التمهيد فقد جاء في خمسة محاور لموضوع الكتاب هي: 1-القبائل العربية، 2-لغات القبائل التي احتج النحاة بها، 3- وجود لغات القبائل في القرآن الكريم، 4-اختلاف لغات القبائل في مجال التراكيب النحوية، وجود ومسوغ دراسته، تعريف بالكتب التي هي مصادر للدراسة، ومدى عناية أصحابها بلغات القبائل.
وأما الفصل الأول فهو بعنوان قضايا الإسناد ومتعلقاته، وقد جاء في مبحثين، تناول الأول (وهو قضايا الإسناد) الاختلافات النحوية التي تقع في علاقة الفعل بفاعله، والاختلافات التي تقع في علاقة المبتدأ بخبره، وتناولت في الثاني (قضايا متعلقات الإسناد) الاختلافات النحوية التي تقع في مكملات الجملة التي هي متعلقات الإسناد.
وأما الفصل الثاني فهو بعنوان قضايا الحالة الإعرابية، وقد جاء في مبحثين كذلك هما: مبحث المعربات، وقد تناول قضايا الاختلاف في أواخر المعربات من الأسماء والأفعال. ومبحث المبنيات، وقد تناول قضايا الاختلاف في المبنيات من جهة حركة بناء الآخر، ومن جهة ما قد يرد فيها من اختلافات وإن لم تتعلق بحركة البناء.
وأما الفصل الثالث فهو بعنوان قضايا الأدوات، وقد تناول الاختلافات النحوية بين لغات القبائل في الأدوات النحوية التي أشارت كتب إعراب القرآن ومعانيه إلى وجود اختلافات بين لغات القبائل فيها. وقد اتبع كل فصل من فصول الكتاب الثلاثة بخلاصة تحوي أبرز ما جاء في الفصل. وأما الخاتمة، فقد اقتصر على ذكر النتائج العامة التي خلص إليها الكتاب.
