في مجموعته المعنونة "هذا كل ما أملك" يستخدم الشاعر رضا خلف تقنيات القصة لتوظيفها داخل (النص / الكتابة) ويفعل ذلك من خلال تصدير العمل بنص نثري أشبه برواية (خبر) يأتي على شكل حوار بين أب وإبنه، يخبره وهو على حافة الموت بأنه لا يملك إلا مخطوطاً " ... ومنذ ذلك النهار بات الرجل منهمكاً في أمر إبنه، وهو العالمُ الآن أن اللحظة ليست ببعيدة بذاك القدر الذي يسمح له بتأمين كل ما يلزم، فلا يجد ما يقدمه سوى مخطوطة تلخص أهم ما اختبره في حياته، تركها له، وكان قد كتب عليها عبارة: "سامحني، يا ولدي، فهذا كل ما أملك!". وإذا ما بدأنا بقراءة هذا المخطوط، سنجده يمتلئ بالحكم والوصايا، التي تمثل فلسفة الشاعر في الحياة، والتي عهد للأب بقولها بدلاً عنه، جاءت في الكتاب ضمن مساحات نصية قصيرة، يكون دور الشاعر فيها الراوي الذي يسرد علينا تلك الوصايا لنقرأ بعضاً منها:
أكثرُ من يشعر بالألم من يصنع السعادة لغيره.
الحب هو تلك النظرة التي تختزل سعادة ألف عام.
بين الولادة والموت بحورٌ من الألم. أنبل البشر من يسبحُ فيها، ويبني لغيره، فوقها، جسوراً من السعادة".
أكثر ما يذهل في هذا العالم أن المجانين، والمعاقين يحكمونه.
