يهتم هذا الكتاب بموضوع الريادة وإدارة الأعمال الصغيرة في الأردن بشكل خاص، ويتحدث عن برامج تطوير الإنتاجية ودعم تنمية المشروعات الصغيرة في البيئة الأردنية التي قد تتمايز عن غيرها من البيئات الأخرى. لقد قدم المؤلفان في عملهم هذا محاولة مدروسة بعناية لتوضح وإغناء الأفكار الموجودة عن الريادة والإبداع في مؤسسات الأعمال الصغيرة، والآثار التنموية لهذه المؤسسات في الإقتصاد الوطني للبلدان النامية بشكل خاص، إضافة إلى تأثير الريادة دولياً عن طريق تناول الريادة الدولية وتحليل البيئات المختلفة سواء الإقتصادية أو التكنولوجية أو القانونية، أو غيرها تمهيداً لمعرفة الأنماط المختلفة للدخول إلى العمل الريادي الدولي.
جاء الكتاب في ثلاثة عشر فصلاً تناول (الفصل الأول) منها الريادة بمفهومها وخصائصها، والريادة والإبداع في الأردن. أما (الفصل الثاني) فتناول الريادة الدولية وأنماطها المختلفة، وفي (الفصل الثالث) تم إلقاء الضوء بنظرة عامة إلى الأعمال الصغيرة والمفاهيم المختلفة التي تندرج تحت ذلك ثم تناول (الفصل الرابع) تأسيس الأعمال الصغيرة من حيث شراءها وطرق تقدير قيمتها. وفي (الفصل الخامس) تم مناقشة موقع المشروع الصغير والعوامل المختلفة التي تحكمه، بالإضافة إلى مناقشة بعض الأساليب في اختيار موقع المشروع. وقد تناول (الفصل السادس) إدارة المشتريات والمخزون في المشروعات الصغيرة، وفي (الفصل السابع والثامن والتاسع) تناول المؤلفان التسويق والتمويل والمحاسبة في الأعمال الصغيرة، وفي (الفصل العاشر) تم مناقشة الإئتمان بأنواعه المختلفة والتحصيل في الأعمال الصغيرة. أما (الفصل الحادي عشر) فتناول المؤلفان من خلاله التأمين بأنواعه المختلفة في الأعمال الصغيرة، وفي الفصل (الثاني عشر) تناولا الطبيعة القانونية للمنظمات. وأخيراً تناول المؤلفان في (الفصل الثالث عشر) خطة العمل في الأعمال الصغيرة والريادية سواء من حيث مفهوم الخطة ومكوناتها الأساسية، وكذلك تصميم الخطة وأولويات ترتيبها.
