هذا كتاب "إنسان العيون في سيرة الأمين والمأمون" المعروف بـ"السيرة الحلبية" لمؤلفه الشيخ علي الحلبي، ذكر فيه أن أحسن ما ألف في سيرة الأمين والمأمون هو كتاب "عيون الأثر" للحافظ أبي الفتح ابن سيّد الناس؛ غير أنه أطال بذكر الإسناد. وسيرة الشمس الشامي التي قال عنها بأن المصنف أتى فيها بما هو في أسماع ذوي الأفهام كالمعادات؛ لذا فقد جمعت هذه السيرة الصحيح والسقيم والضعيف والبلاغ والمرسل والمنقطع والمعضل دون الموضوع فرأى الشيخ الحلبي أن يلخص هاتين السيرتين مع الضميمة إليهما بإشارة الشيخ أبي المواهب محمد البكري، بالإضافة إلى ذلك ذكر الشيخ الحلبي في سيرته هذه شيئاً من أبيات القصيدة الهمزية للبوصيري وتائية "السبكي" من ديوانه المسمّى بـ"بشرى اللبيب بذكر الحبيب".
