يعد الشيخ محمد الخالصي (الأب) من أكابر علماء الإسلام الذين دافعوا عن الإسلام الصحيح وعقائده الأصيلة وجاهد جهاداً مريراً ضد الفرق الغالية المنحرفة التي أوجد بعضها الإستعمار وعملاؤه وخدعوا بها بعض المسلمين كالفرق الشيخية والبابية والبهائية والكشفية والقاديانية والنواصب الذين حاولوا النفوذ في العراق وإيران وأرادوا بدفع إستعماري أن يحرفوا العقائد الأصيلة للإسلام وأن يضلوا أتباع مدرسة أهل البيت وأن يحرفوهم عن خط الكتاب والسنة.
وهذا الكتاب هو واحد من الآثار العلمية الهامة للإمام الخالصي في هذا الإتجاه بخصوص فرقة الشيخية الذين أنفسهم مع الشيعة، الأمر الذي أوهم كثيراً من الناس يحسبون من أتباع أهل بيت النبي.
