في زمن يغلب عليه الطابع العلمي وتتلبس به النظرة الواقعية، لم يعد هناك مجال لطرق موضوعات سمتها أنها تضرب بفروعها في علياء المتيافيزيقا، بدعوى أن هذا النوع من الدراسات ليس له ما يبرره ويدعو له.
والأولى أن يُلتفت إلى المجسد والمحسوس والملوس، خاصة إذا علمت أن الحضارة المستبدة بالعالم هي حضارة القوة والمال والجسد والمباشر، ولكن هل لمثل هذه النظرة مسوغاً نظرياً يؤكد عليها؟ أم أنها لا تُجاوز أن تكون محض إنطباعات أملتها ظروف عجز؟.
إن المتتبع لتاريخ الحضارة يلحظ أن التجارب التاريخية للأمم؛ هي عبارة عن محصلة عملية لوجهات نظر وجودية أرست طابع المعقولية على فاعلية الإنسان وشدت جهده نحو مبرر مستمر التأثير، وهذا من شأنه أن يمنح له الدافع بعد أن يعين له الهدف من الحياة.
وكتفصيل للكلام أعلاه نقول: إن التاريخ وليد الميتافيزيقا، وإن الحضارة تجسيد لرؤية كونية حياتية، ومن هنا نقرر أن درس الميتافيزيقا ومشكلاته لا تزال بحاجة إلى توضيح وإستدعاء دائم.
فلا يعقل أن يحيا الإنسان بغير خبز، كما أنه محكوم عليه بالفناء والتلاشي الوجودي إن تنكر للميتافيزيقا، فليس بالخبز وحده يحيا الإنسانن كما أنه لا تاريخ بغير ميتافيزيقا.
ومن هذه الحيثية رأينا أنه من الجدير أن نطرح مشكلة من مشكلات الوجود الإنساني - بغض الطرف عن إنتماءاته وولاءاته - مشكلة المأتى والمسير والمصير، حيث لا يخلو أي ذهن بشري من تساؤلات تتصل بوجوده، وبوجود الإله، وبالعالم.
وتعد أية إجابة عن التساؤلات المذكورة تعبيراً وافياً عن تطلعات الإنسان وعن مستواه الوجودي والتاريخي وعن حضوره الفاعل المتقدم الذي يضيف إليه بإستمرار، وكل الفلسفة محاولة للوقوف عند تساؤلات البشر.
