تبدو الحاجة ملحة إلى وقفة تأمّل في ما يجري حولنا من تغيرات على الصّعد شتى، في ظل هذا التسارع في تطوير تقنيات التواصل والاتصال؛ ما يلقي بظلاله على أنماط حياتنا ومجموع أفكارنا وسلوكاتنا؛ بمعنى أنه يحدث تغيرا في هويتنا الثقافية. فيبرز السؤال الآتي: أين نحن من تراثنا بكافة تجلّياته: اللغوية، القيميّة، والسلوك الغذائي، والتمظهر الاجتماعي- العلائقي؟
سؤال حدا بي إلى انتحاء هذا النوع من الكتابة في أدب الأطفال والناشئة، إيمانا مني بضرورة تعرّف النشء – اللبناني خصوصا – تراثه، ماضي الأجداد وحاضر الآباء، ليبني مستقبله على ضوء ما عرفه وما خبره من جماليات، إن لجهة مظاهر الحياة اليومية مثل التكافل الاجتماعي والتآزر الأسري، أو لجهة مظاهر العمران والبيئة الطبيعية وعلاقة الإنسان بها.
جمعت عشر مقالات تتوسّل أسلوب القصّة لتحكي التراث اللبناني؛ تجمع ما بين الفائدة العلمية ومتعتي الإخبار والحوار، فضلا عن المغزى القيمي البعيد في منحييه الاجتماعي والانساني، والذي أتوخّى أن يتسرّب إلى القارئ.
هي وقفة مع التراث والبيئة، من غير الدعوة إلى إيقاف الزمان. إنما يشكّل الماضي بتجاربه، مختبر الزمن الآتي، فينبغي فهمه ليصار إلى تجاوزه مظاهر الاغتراب والعزلة؛ فتنصهر الآفاق في تجربتنا الحاضرة: أفق التجربة وأفق التوقّع؛ ونؤسس لغدٍ أكثر إنسانية، يستجيب لتطلعات الحيل ومتطلّبات المستقبل، فتشكّل الأجيال المتلاحقة حلقات توصل واتصال لواقع آفل، وزمن مفتوح على كل التقلبات الممكنة.
