ليلى عودة هي أمٌّ لصبيٍّ وفتاة، ومعلِّمة وكاتبة قصص أطفال.
من مواليد دمشق عام 1968 وجنسية أردنية.
بدأت حياتها العمليَّة معلِّمةً للغة الإنكليزيَّة وصعوبات التعلُّم للمرحلة الإعداديَّة، ثُمَّ تقاعدت لأسباب صحِّيَّة.
استمرَّت في إعطاء الدروس في منزلها، وفي الاهتمام بابنها زيد وابنتها نتاشا.
من خبرتها في العمل مع الأطفال؛ وبوجود العديد من الأطفال الصغار في عائلتها، صارت لديها عادةُ تجهيز أنشطة بيتيَّة وحفلات للأطفال، وتضمَّن ذلك روايةَ قصصٍ من ابتكارها.
لاحقًا، قرَّرتْ أن تضعَ تلك القصصَ بصيغة مكتوبة، وقد اتَّصلَتْ ببعض الناشرين لنشر هذه القصص، وقد أبدى عددٌ من الناشرين اهتمامهم بكتاباتها.
نشرَتْ قصَّتها الأولى ‘‘فستان الأميرة’’ في عام 2010م، من منشورات ‘‘جبل عمَّان ناشرون’’، ونشرَتْ بعد ذلك ثلاث قصص أُخرى هي: ‘‘علبة الأحلام السحريَّة’’ و‘‘ماما لا تُغلقي الستارة’’ و‘‘سارة وشعرها الطويل’’.
خلال السنوات ما بين 2013 - 2017 نشرت ليلى عودة مجموعة من القصص لعدة جهات منها موقع عصافير دوت كوم ومبادرة تغيير ونحن نحب القراءة ومبادرة تكامل مع مركز هيا الثقافي و مؤسسة نهر الأردن.
وهناك قصص على تطبيق غنوا معنا 2.
وأحدث هذه القصص هي: لغز الجوارب المفقودة وحقيبة أمي العجيبة , كفى يا طارق, عندما مرض طارق, طارق يحب الحلوى, طارق يحب الماء, من صنع الفطيرة, أكبر قبلة, القبعة الغريبة.
منها قصص تخاطب بعض الأمور الإجتماعية مثل قصة صندوق ريان عن الإساءة للطفل, وقصة زنبوط عن تقبل الاخرين والإعاقات, وقصة المغلف الكبير عن التنمر, وأحلى أميرة عن الأدوار الجندرية.
هناك المزيد من القصص التي تعمل السيِّدة عودة عليها، وهي لا تزال تستمتعُ بالعمل مع الأطفال، وبرواية قصص ممتعةٍ لهم من واقع الحياة اليوميَّة بطريقةٍ مسلِّيةٍ ومُبدعة.
