سعت هذه الدراسة إلى مناقشة موضوع تعاقب الذكر والحذف في آيات القرآن الكريم، من خلال الكشف عن مواضع التعاقب ومقاصده في ضوء ما ورد في النصوص القرآنية، وقد أمكن من خلال هذه الدراسة وشع معيار تحدد بموجبه مفهوم التعاقب والذكر والحذف والآيات المتشابهة، مع بيان المقصود بالآيات المتشابهة على صعيد تلك الدراسة وهو تشابه آيتين أو أكثر في الألفاظ مع زيادة أو حذف في واحدة أو أكثر من هذه الآيات يتمثل في حرف من حروف المعاني أو مفردة أو جملة أو شبه جملة يستلزم ذكرها أو حذفها معنى جديداً، وحرى بالإشارة هنا أن المقصود بآية تعاقب فيها الذكر والحذف قد يكون أحياناً هو ذلك الجزء من الآية الذي جرى فيه التعاقب، ولاسيما الآيات الطويلة التي تنتظم أكثر من جزء، وقد تم جمع الآيات وتصنيفها حسب نوع المذكور والمحذوف في ثلاثة فصول، اختص الأول بآيات تعاقب الذكر والحذق في حروف المعاني مرتبة هجائياً حسب الحرف المذكور أو المحذوف، واختص الثاني بالمفردة مرتبة حسب الترتيب الذي تتخذه في كتب النحو الأصول، واختص الثالث بالجملة وشبه الجملة، وفي كل فصل تم رصد الآيات وعرض آراء النحاة والبلاغيين والمفسرين القدماء والمعاصرين ومناقشتها وترجيح بعضها على بعض، كما تمت دراسة الآيات دراسة منهجية نحوية بلاغية أسلوبية قائمة على الأخذ بآراء الآخرين مع الاحتكام إلى القرآن الكريم عن تضارب الآراء واختلافها، وقد عرضت هذه الدراسة لقضية الزيادة في القرآن الكريم ولمواقف القدماء والمحدثين منها، وتناولت الآيات التي اعتبرها النحاة شواهد على الزيادة قتمت مناقشتها وإبداء الرأي فيها، كما أمكن بيان المقصود من الحذف في موضع
