يعتبر كتاب "الافتخار" الذي نقلب صفحاته من التراث الفاطمي النادر جداً، والذي عالج فيه مؤلفه أبو يعقوب السجستاني علم الحقائق العرفاني معالجة علمية في ضوء الاعتقادات الفاطمية التوحيدية والتأويلية والفلسفية. وقد جسد المؤلف الأفكار الفاطمية الصحيحة وعبّر عنها تعبيراً واضحاً ضمنه الرد المقنع على أولئك الذين كانوا يرون في علم التوحيد الفاطمي تعطيلاً، وفي نظرية التأويل الباطني خروجاً على تعاليم الدين الإسلامي الحنيف. وقد تجاوزت قيمة الكتاب العقائدية التأويلية المعقول، لما تضمنته من أسرار ورموز كانت خافية على طلاب العلم والمهتمين بالدراسات الفاطمية.
