فكيف يمكن المساهمة في تعقّل هذا الحدث-الصدمة وتبعاته، وعلاقته بنظام الهيمنة الدولي، وبالتقنية العلمية الحديثة، وبالحداثة السياسية ورفضها؟ وأيّ تطوّر حصل في تعريف الإرهاب على مستوى القانون الدولي، وأيّ مكانة للقانون داخل المجتمع الدولي بعد سبع سنوات من حصول الكارثة؟ وهل تطورَ لدى شعوبنا ونخبنا الوعي الأخلاقي الذي يدين الإرهاب فعليا، ولا يقدّم تعلاّت لتبريره؟ وما مدى وجاهة التحاليل التي تتنبأ بأفول نجم القاعدة، وما مدى فاعليّة المراجعات التي بدأت تقوم بها بعض الحركات الجهاديّة؟ وما مدى حضور الإيديولوجيا الاستشهاديّة في «الإسلامات» المتعدّدة المعروضة أمامنا: إسلام رجال الدّين الرّسميّين بأنواعهم، وإسلام الفضائيّات والدّعاة الجدد، والتّديّن المعيش بوجوهه المختلفة، والإسلام الذي تقدّمه منظوماتنا التعليميّة للناشئة؟ وإلى أيّ مدى تأخذ نخبنا بالنظريّة المتشككة التي تنكر دور تنظيم القاعدة في هذه التفجيرات؟ هل يمكن أن نرى في هذا النتاج من التقارير والكتب المتشككة التي نراها معروضة في واجهات مكتباتنا «ميلا إلى الإخفائيّة occultisme وعلامة مرضيّة على تراجع الوعي»، كما يقول أدورنو؟
