يهتم هذا الكتاب بموضوع المنافسة غير المشروعة للملكية الصناعية إذ أن حقوق الملكية الصناعية، تشتمل الحقوق الواردة على أموال معنوية وهي الحق في الإحتكار لإستغلال براءات الإختراع والرسوم والنماذج الصناعية، والحق في إستعمال الإسم التجاري والعلامة التجارية، فهي حقوق ترد على منقولات معنوية، وتدخل غالباً في بعض العناصر الأساسية للمحل التجاري، وعليه أجمع الفقه على تصنيف هذه الحقوق ضمن نطاق الحقوق المعنوية التي تتوسط بين الحق العيني والحق الشخصي ولا تختلط بهما، ولها إستقلالية خاصة تميزها عن باقي أنواع الحقوق، كما أنها قيمة مالية تخول مالكها الإستئثار قبل الكافة بإستغلال إبتكار جديد أو علامة مميزة فضلاً عن حقه في منح ترخيص بالإستعمال والبيع والتنازل.
والجدير ذكره، أن الغاية الأساسية لتقرير حقوق الملكية الصناعية هي تنظيم المنافسة المشروعة بين أصحاب تلك الحقوق وعليه إذا كانت هذه الحقوق واردة على براءة إختراع، فهي متصلة وبشكل مباشر بتنظيم، المنافسة بين التجار، فيستأثر مالكها في إستغلال إختراعه وبالتالي يلتزم الآخرون بالإمتناع عن تقليد هذا الإختراع أو إستعماله بدون ترخيص من مالكه، وبذلك وفر ضماناً مهماً لقيام المنافسة المشروعة لأنها تستند إلى فكرة العدالة والتي تقضي بأن يستثمر المخترع ثمرة نتاجه الفكري ويستعمل مالك العلاقة التجارية علامته لتميز سلعته وخدماته فلا ينافسه الغير في ذلك وهذا حتماً سوف يعزز الثقة لدى أرباب الأعمال والصناعات فتزداد الإستثمارات في المشاريع الصناعية والتجارية.
ولتناول الموضوع من مختلف نواحيه، جاء الكتاب في ثلاثة فصول وفق ما يلي: الفصل الأول: "ماهية المنافسة غير المشروعة"، الفصل الثاني: "صور المنافسة غير المشروعة للملكية الصناعية"، الفصل الثالث: "حكم المنافسة غير المشروعة للملكية الصناعية".
