هذا الكتاب هو الأول باللغة العربية وبالمكتبة العربية حول رياضات الطيران ويتناول كافة الجوانب المتعلقة بهذه الرياضات منذ نشأتها وحسب تطورها الزمني والتقني. وفي الكتاب حصر لكافة أنواع الطيران والطائرات بشكل كلي وهو يبحث في رياضات الطيران في كل دول العالم معتمداً بذلك على مصادر كبيرة ومقالات جمعها من كل مصادر المعلومات المتوفرة.
كما حاول المؤلف وهو" طيار شراعي بالمظلات اللانحدارية" استخدام المصطلحات العربية على الرغم من أن معظم هذه الرياضات حديثة ولم تترجم مصطلحاتها إلى اللغة العربية بعد, واعتمد على التقسيم حسب نوع الطيران والرياضة المتعلقة به بشكل مفصل مع دليل توضيحي بالصور لزيادة قيمة المعلومات الواردة والاستفادة القصوى منها والتي جاءت في نهاية كل باب. وهذا الكتاب على حجمه يشكل مكتبة ضخمة في رياضات الطيران.
