فقد جاء الباب الأول موضحاً لعناصر المنهاج وطرائق التدريس والمفاهيم المرتبطة بها، أما الباب الثاني فقد تطرق بالتفصيل إلى طرائق التدريس في ضوء الجهد الذي يقوم به كل من المعلم والمتعلم، في حين جاء الباب الثالث من هذا الكتاب موضحاً لطرائق وإستراتيجيات تدريسية خاصة وفاعلة، أما الباب الرابع والأخير فقد سلط الضوء على المعلم إستراتيجيات تدريس مهارات التفكير.
