ابن كَمَال باشا (000 - 940 هـ = 000 - 1534 م)
أحمد بن سليمان بن كمال باشا، شمس الدين: قاض من العلماء بالحديث ورجاله.
تركي الأصل، مستعرب. قال التاجي: قلما يوجد فن من الفنون وليس لابن كمال باشا مصنف فيه. تعلم في أدرنه، وولي قضاءها ثم الإفتاء بالآستانة إلى أن مات. له تصانيف كثيرة، منها (طبقات الفقهاء - خ) و (طبقات المجتهدين - خ) و (مجموعة رسائل - ط) تشتمل على 36 رسالة، ورسالة في (الكلمات العربية - ط) نشرت في المجلد السابع من مجلة المقتبس، و (رسالة في الجبر والقدر - خ) و (إيضاح الإصلاح - خ) في فقه الحنفية، و (رجوع الشيخ إلى صباه - ط) مجون، سيأتي ذكره في ترجمة التيفاشي، و (تاريخ آل عثمان) و (تغيير التنقيح - ط) في أصول الفقه

Book Description
هذا الكتاب، يشتمل على رسالة فيها إصلاح نحو مئةٍ وخمسين غلطة مما تزلُّ به ألسنةُ الناس في عصر المؤلف / العلامة ابن كمال باشا (873- 940هـ) وتبدأ بقوله: (فإن أول ما يجب ان يُعْلَم، وأولى ما تُبذل فيه الهمم، إقامةُ اللسان، وصونه عن الهذيان؛ إذ من الألفاظ تُستفادُ المعاني، وبها تظهر أسرار السبعِ المثاني..."
حقق هذه الرسالة العلامة عبد القادر المغربي (1284- 1375هـ)، وقدم لها بمقدمة عن مصادرها المختلفة وأشار إلى أن هذه النسخة اعتمد فيها على رسالة طبعت منذ بضع وأربعين سنة في (ليدن)، طبعها الأستاذ الفاضل الشيخ عمر السويدي في جملة رسائل، وقد عزا "رسالة التنبيه" إلى ابن كمال باشا...
وهكذا بدأ بالتعليق على رسالة "التنبيه" بقلم ناشرها مع إعطاء نبذة عن وضع اللغة العربية في دولة الترك العثمانيين، وإن ابن كمال باشا صحح "ما أربن على مئةِ لفظٍ من السقط، بعضها "خاصة، وبعضها للعامة فقط"، ثم يستدل من سياق الرسالة أن مؤلف "التنبيه على غلط الجاهل والنبيه": "إنما يُصَحِّحُ ألفاظاً كانَ يُخطئ في النطق بها الشعب التركي الذي كانَ يسكن الروملي والأناضول في عهد سلاطين آل عثمان الأولين - أي: في القرن الثامن والتاسع والعاشر للهجرة - والأخير من عصر المؤلف...".
