وبين الكتاب مكانة الحسن بن علي عند الحبيب المصطفى صلى الله عليه وسلم، وفي عهد الخلفاء الراشدين، ثم أفرد فصل كامل للتفصيل عن بيعته وخلافته، وأهم صفاته وملامح شخصيته المتميزة. وانتهى الأمر بصلحه مع معاوية، ونتائج هذا الصلح الذي وحد الأمة ، وكان ختام المسك رصداً للأيام الأخيرة من حياة الحسن أمير المؤمنين.
وهذا الكتاب هواللبنة الأخيرة من سلسلة: تاريخ عصر الخلفاء الراشدين رضى الله عنهم.
