فقد رأيت حاجة ما في إختصار كتابي هذا من "لآلئ الإملاء" تيسيراً وتسهيلاً على طلبة العلم في المحفوظات، فاختصرته واقتصرت فيه على القواعد وبعض الأمثلة، وحذفت منه المقدمة والتمارين والتدريبات وكثيراً من الأمثلة، ولم أُبْقِ فيه إلا ما لا بد منه لحاجة الطالب؛ ليكون له عوناً للدراسة والحفظ، وبخاصة عندما يريد مراجعة ما قرأه في الحصص الدراسية خلال السنة للإمتحان؛ فيجد ضالته في هذا المختصر.
هذا وقد اشتغل في هذا الفن أهل العلم من زمن بعيد، واهتموا بالمختصرات والمتون إهتماماً بالغاً ليسهل الأمر على المتعلمين، وهي سنة العلماء من قبل ومن بعد، وفيها نجاحهم وفلاحهم.
غير أنه قد لا يستغني طالب العلم عن الأصل؛ لما في أصل الكتاب من الفوائد الكثيرة في الأمثلة والتمارين والتدريبات والمقدمة أيضاً؛ فإن فيها فوائد كثيرة مما لا يسع الطالب الإستغناء عنها.
