نتيجة لأندكاك الفكر في عمق حركة التأريخ نشأت الحاجة إلى دراسة تأريخ الفكر في أبعاده ومجالاته المختلفة، في محاولة لاكتشاف الجذور واستبيان الحقائق والتماس الأصالة والأسبقية.
وانطلاقاً من شمولية المشروع الفكري الذي نحن بصدده، وحرصاً على أن تكون معالجاته للموضوعات التي يتناولها تنطوي على أكبر قدر ممكن من العمق والبرهنة والاستدلال، ظهرت ضرورة إسناده بمدخل تأريخي نتناول فيه تأريخ الفكرة العالمية وتطورها، وتاريخ الصراع بينها وبين الفكرة التعصبية المحلية الضيقة، بما يعيننا على اكتشاف أو تأكيد الكثير من الأبعاد الفكرية واستنتاج الكثير من الحقائق.
وقد تم الاعتماد في هذا المدخل على دراسة حركة الأنبياء وخط النبوات لبيان دور هذا الخط في تكريس الفكرة العالمية ومقاومة الفكرة المحلية التعصبية، والتنويه بأن هذه المسألة قد أخذت بنظر الاعتبار في التخطيط السماوي لسير البشرية وحركة النبوات.
ولذا فقد تحدثنا عن سير الفكرة العالمية في التأريخ عبر ثلاثة عهود تأريخية أساسية هي: 1-تاريخ نبوات ما قبل الإسلام. 2-العهد الإسلامي. 3-العهد الحديث.
