هذا الكتاب التدريبي والأكاديمي كانت المباراة النهائية لكأس العالم بين البرازيل وفرنسا قد انتهت للتو بفوز فرنسي رائع على ملكة كرة القدم العالمية وأعني بها البرازيل وبنتيجة 3- صفر.
وللحقيقة فإنني شاهدت فريقاً من الدرجة الأولى يلاعب فريقاً من الدرجة الرابعة، وفي تلك الليلة بالذات إزدادت قناعاتي الشخصية بأن لعبة كرة القدم وصلت إلى مستوى مؤثر في البشر بشكل كبير، وأصبحت تمنح الإنسان الذي يشتغل بها ولا أقول الذي يمارسها فقط، تمنحه هوية المواطن العالمي، وتضعه في مستوى رفيع يفوق مستوى رؤوساء الدول وحاكميها.
إذن هذه المهنة الشاقة يجب أن تؤسس على ركزتين قويتين، أولهما العلم والمعرفة، وثانيهما الخبرة الميدانية، فلا يكفي أن تكون لاعباً متقاعداً لتنجح في مقاومة تياراتها العالية، ولا يكفي أن تكون أستاذاً جامعياً لمواجهة أمواجهاً الصاخبة.
نحن المدربون علينا أن نعرف كل شيء عن كرة القدم، لأن معرفة شيء بسيط يجعل المدرب بسيطاً، ومعرفة الكثير يجعله كبيراً، وهؤلاء الذين يعتقدون أنهم يعرفون كل شيء بكرة القدم، هم في الحقيقة لا يعرفون شيئاً لأن المعرفة في تطور، ومفاصل الحياة في تغيير.
ومن هنا، لم يتوقف بحثي عن المعرفة المرتبطة بتلك المهنة، فتوكلت على الله تعالى كما في المرات السابقة في وضع هذا المؤلف معتمداً على مصادر كثيرة أشرت إليها في آخر الكتابز
وللحقيقة فإن الكتاب لم يأتِ تقليدياً وعلى إيقاع كتب كرة القدم الأخرى نفسها بل إنه احتوى على آخر الدراسات العلمية المرتبطة بالأجهزة الوظيفية للاعبين، وتأثير التدريب واللعب عليها، واحتوى كذلك على مراقبة الأداء الوظيفي.
