...ولا أنكر بأنني ترددت كثيراً قبل إقدامي على اقتحام عالم التوثيق في الأنساب والقبائل لأنه عالم واسع كإتساع الصحراء، ومتموج كتموج البيداء، عالم لطالما راودتني حصيلتي وعزيمتي أن أخوض غماره وأجتاز قفاره على الرغم من أنني سأتوقع من القليلين الذين لا تروق لهم مثل هذه الأبحاث أن يقفوا مني موقف المعارض أو المكابر أو المعاند، وسأفرح ممن يوجه إلينا إصبع النقد بقصد تجاوز الهفوات إن وجدت. وإني أعد هذه المحاولة خطوة في طريق طويل ومحاولة في مجال رحب لا يستطيع الإحاطة بعالمه فرد واحد ولكنها تبقى محاولة تطمح إلى تلمس الأصالة في الجذور وتتبع البحث في الصعود إلى المنبع.
