يؤرخ هذا الكراس للإمام حسن الهضيبي بهدف تدوين جزء من تاريخ الحركة الإسلامية في القرن العشرين والذي يوشك أن يندرس نظراً للتعتيم الإعلامي الذي تفرضه عليه أجهزة الإعلام في العالم الإسلامي. أو نتيجة سجن أو موت الذين عاصروا هذا التاريخ وخطوا كل حرف فيه بعرقهم ودمائهم ولا نقصد من ذلك مدح الهضيبي أو الثناء عليه أو التأريخ له بمقدار الذي يكون فيه مدخلاً للتاريخ العقائدي والحركي، ولهذا جاء في تحليل تاريخه ورصد ماله وما عليه حتى يتسنى للمسلمين أن يستفيدوا من حسنات من سبقهم وليتجنبوا أخطاءهم وينسجوا على منوالهم، ويبدؤوا من حيث إنتهى أسلافهم. لم يكن الهضيبي صاحب ثورة إسلامية مستقلة ولكن الأقدار ساقته لكي يحمل لواء الثورة التي أسسها وقادها الإمام الشهيد حسن البنا، وقد أجمع الذين عاصروا الهضيبي أو كتبوا عنه أنه كان خير خلف لخير سلف، وإنه كان يتمتع بكثير من الصفات القيادية الحميدة التي تؤهله لأن يكون قائداً لأكبر حركة إسلامية في القرن العشرين في ظروف قاسية وهجمة صليبية إستعمارية شرسة على الإسلام والحركة الإسلامية.
