مذ وضعت الحرب أوزارها، شكَلت وما تزال موضوعاً أثيراً لدى الكثير من الروائيين اللبنانيين، فانطلقوا يرصدون تداعياتها وتأثيرها في الإنسان والمكان والزمان، ويتخذون من فعل المقاومة والشهادة عالماً مرجعياً تمتح فيه الرواية، وتتأثر به على مستوى الحكاية أو الخطاب الذي تريد أن تقوله الرواية؛ وهكذا هي "لميس العبد الله فرحات" في روايتها "غداً يزهر نيسان" والتي تتناول فيها تأثير الحرب على العائلة وبالأخص المرأة الجنوبية والحكاية الرئيسية التي تقولها الرواية، حكاية تفكك الأسرة وتبدل حياة كثير من العائلات، عند استشهاد الزوج وبقاء الأم والأولاد وحيدين. وفي هذه الرواية يترك الأب شكيب زوجته وابنته وينطلق للدفاع عن أرضه، فما يلبث أن ينال الشهادة، وفي هكذا حال يفرض المجتمع قوانينه وعاداته وتقاليده، فتضطر كل من الأم والإبنة إلى الزواج، الأمر الذي يباعد بينهما... ثم ما تلبث الحياة أن تعود إلى طبيعتها ويزهر نيسان من جديد. "أنظري يا سارة لقد أعيدت الحياة إلى هذه القرى بعد أن هدمت، ها هي بلدة الخيام قد استعادت عافيتها وخرجت من محنتها بفضل المساعدات(...) قاطعته سارة قائلة: لا شك أن جراح وطني قد التأمت الآن بفضل سواعد المقاومين البسلاء أمثالك".
