يعد كتاب "دُرّة الغوّاص في أوهام الخواص" من عيون التراث العربي في حقل اللغة العربية (علم الصرف) مؤلفه العلاّمة القاسم بن علي الحريري (446-516ه) . يقول في مقدمته: "رأيت كثيراً من تسنّموا أسنِمةَ الرتب، وتوسّموا بسمة الأدب، قد ضاهوا العامة في بعض ما يفرط في كلامهم، وترعف به مراعف أقلامهم ..." والغاية من هذا الكلام استدراك المؤلف للأخطاء التي يقع بها دارسو الأدب واللغويون في القول والكتابة، ومما يذكره المؤلف أن أهل اللغة استخدموا على سبيل المثال عبارة: "قدم سائرُ الحاجِّ، واستوفي سائر الخراجِ، فيستعملون "سائراً" بمعنى "سائراً" بمعنى الجميع، وهو في كلام العرب بمعنى الباقي، ومنه قيل لما يبقى في الإناء: سُورٌ ..." وعلى هذا النحو يبدأ المؤلف بتصحيح أوهام فاضحة في اللغة، ويؤيد أقواله بأمثلة وحكايات وروايات عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، وعلماء اللغة العربية في عصره وغيرها. ولأهمية هذا الأثر عمل على تحقيقه الأستاذ عرفان مطرجي باحثاً عن مواطن الضعف في الكتاب فصححه، محصياً الأخطاء الواردة فيه من مثل: علامات الوقف، والمشكول، من الكلمات بالحركات وغير المشكول فأعاد بناء الكتاب على الوجه الصحيح ووقف منه موقف الناقد والغاية "لأعيد ما انفرط من دُرَر هذا العقد ..." وليقول أيضاً "هذا خطأ في حين نطقت به ألسنة العرب، وهذا ضعيف وقد غصت به خزائن الأدب". وقد وزع مادة الكتاب بحسب الترتيب الألفبائي للغة العربية، فنثر فيه أقوال العرب وصحهها فأكمل ما غفل عنه مؤلف الكتاب العلاّمة الحريري وهذا شأن المشتغلون باللغة في كل عصر، ففي كل كتاب زيادة وإفادة.
