Book Description
يؤرخ هذا الكتاب لسلطنة الملك الصالح إسماعيل بن محمد بن قلاوون، وهو السادس عشر من ملوك الترك المماليك، والرابع من بني محمد بن قلاوون. جلس على تخت الملك يوم الخميس 22 محرم سنة 743هـ، وتوفي ليلة الخميس في رابع ربيع الآخر سنة 746هـ. وقد بلغ من العمر عند وفاته نحو العشرين سنة.
نازعه على السلطنة أخوه الناصر أحمد الذي ظل مفيماً في قلعة الكرم بفلسطين، فجرد الصالح لقتاله سبع حملات حتى لم له قتله ليلة الرابع من ربيع الأول سنة 754هـ.
وكانت دولة المماليك في عهده تحظى بسمعة جيدة في الخارج، ولها علاقات قوية مع ملوك الصين والهند والروم والفرنج، وفي المقابل كانت أوضاع البلاد الداخلية في مصر والشام سيئة، تعاني من الفتن والاضطرابات، وغلاء الأسعار، وتلاحق الزلازل والعواصف والثلوج والسيول والفيضانات المدمرة، مع ما ابتلى به أهل الشام من كثرة تجريد العساكر، والسخرة التي عاناها أهل الضياع، وفساد العربان والعشائر في سائر البلاد وقطعهم للطرقات، فضلاً عن قطع الأرزاق وظلم الرعية، وقلة هيبة السلطنة وحرمتها لانصراف السلطان في اللهو ومجالس النساء.
وقد وضع هذا الكتاب على قسمين: القسم الأول: يتناول مقدمة التحقيق، حيث التعريف بالمؤلف ومصنفاته، ثم ترجمة الملك الصالح، وأهم الأحداث التي شهدتها مصر والشام في عهده. القسم الثاني: تحقيق النص المخطوط لكتاب "النور اللائح". وختم الكتاب بثلاثة فهارس للأعلام والأماكن والمصطلحات. ويأتي تحقيق هذا الكتاب ونشره مساهمة منا في نشر كنوز عصر المماليك من المصنفات المخطوطة، وليأخذ مكانه في المكتبة العربية.
