تحتوي هذه الرسالة على جمع مرويات واحد من التابعين كثر الكلام عليه؛ ألا وهو وهب بن منبه. وهكذا فقذ جاءت هذه الرسالة في أربعة فصول:
الفصل الأول: ترجمها وهب بن منبه، ونقل ما قيل عنه من قبل علماء الجرح والتعديل.
الفصل الثاني: جمع مروياته في الكتب التسعة، والتي بلغت 40 رواية ما بين مرفوعة وموقوفة.
الفصل الثالث: حلل كل مروياته حيث قام بتخريج كل رواية من كتب الحديث المشهورة، ثم قام بدراسة أسانيد كل الروايات، ما عدا التي في الصحيحين، ثم الحكم على السند، وذكر لطائفه إن وجدت، وما يتعلق بفقه الحديث وغريبه.
الفصل الرابع: ويحتوي على دراسة موجزة عن الإسرائيليات، تعريفها، ودخولها على المسلمين، ومدى خطورتها، ثم تكلم عن مدى صحة نسبة ما في التوراة وغيرها من كتب أهل الكتاب إلى الله عز وجل، لأنها قد حرفت وبدلت، ثم تناول باختصار بعض أقوال وهب بن منبه، والتي رويت من موروثاته القديمة، وفيها ما يخالف صريح القرآن الكريم والسنة النبوية المطهرة.
