"على أبواب المدينة" ديوان شعري يضم قصائد تدخل في خانة شعر المديح أو ما يسمى بالمدائح النبوية، يخطها نفخات إيمانية الشاعر "يحيى حاج يحيى" يعبر فيها عن أصدق المشاعر في حب الإسلام والنبي محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم. ففي قصيدة على أبواب المدينة والتي يسمى الديوان بها، نجد الشاعر مليئ بحب "طيبة" مدينة الرسول، وهو يذوب شوقاً لصاحبها، يقول: "هبت نسائم طيبة الأطياب، فلقيها بالبشر والترحاب./ وتضوعت، فإذا الشآم عبيرها، فمضيت مشتاقاً أشد ركابي (...)". أما في "مباهج الأنوار" وهي القصيدة الخامسة في هذا الديوان، نجدها إضاءات في سيرة النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم من ولادته إلى رضاعته، وإلى كفالة جده، ثم حكمته في قصة بناء الكعبة، ثم نبوته، وما لاقاه في سبيل الدعوة من أذى كفار مكة، إلى هجرته إلى آخر ذلك من ذكر لغزواته، ودوره في توطيد دعائم الدين الإسلامي، يقول فيها: "طلع البدر علينا ، من ثنيات الوداع/ وجب الشكر علينا، ما دعا لله داع/ جئتنا يا خير مرسل، بالهدى لما تنزل/ كل شيء منك يقبل، برضاءٍ واقتناع(...)".
يضم الديوان قصائد متنوعة جاءت بعناوين مختلفة نذكر منها: "المهاجران"، "رجع الزمان بيوم مولده فتى"، "اهل كل ثناء"، "مباهج الأنوار"، جيل القرآن"، "مسلم جديد"... الخ.
