لمّا كان الهدف من الإستدلال هو تكوين دليل قطعي يفيد اليقين بثبوت قضية ما أو نفيها؛ كان من الضروري بناؤه على البرهان، ولمّا كان من المحتمل وقوع المستدل في الخطأ في مراحل وتفاصيل عملية بناء الإستدلال؛ كان من المهم النظر في القواعد التي اشتغل عليها الفلاسفة والمتكلمون ليختبروا صحة إستدلالاتهم وما ينتج عنها من إستنباطات.
تأتي هذه الأطروحة الأكاديمية، عن مركز نماء، ليعرض فيها الباحث استقراءه لجهود الفلاسفة والمتكلمين في القرنين الرابع والخامس الهجريين في مجالي الفلسفة وعلم الكلام وقواعد الإستدلال والإستنباط لديهم، ومفتشاً عن مسالك الجدل والحجاج مع خصومهم، ومحاولاً الكشف عن أسس مناهج الإستدلال في الفكر الإسلامي في هذه الحقبة الزمنية المهمة، مدللاً من خلالها على نبوغ ونضوج مناهج العلوم والمعارف الإسلامية عموماً، والعقلية منها خصوصاً.
إن الحفر في طرق الإستدلال وطرائق البرهنة الدليلية والعقلية في تراثنا العربي والإسلامي، وتحسين مسالك قراءة منهجيات الإستدلال والإنتفاع والوصل منها إلى مواطن التجديد الذي نرومه؛ لهي الرافعة التي تساعدنا على تجديد حياتنا العقلية، وتجديد علومنا تجديداً تظل به هذه العلوم عربية خالصة يتلقفها القلب العربي المسلم، فتزدهر به ويزدهر بها، وتنمو به وينمو بها، ويسقيها وتسقيه، ويظل بها عربياً مسلماً، ولا يتحول بعجمتها إلى أرجوحة بين العربية والعجمة.
