ولأن ما ذكر عن (خيبر) في مؤلفات المتقدمين والمتأخرين , من مؤرخين واخباريين وباحثين ودارسين ورحالة, ومن سواهم كثير جدا, ومتناثر في بطون الكتب, وأمهات المراجع, ومتنوع في مادته , ويصعب حصره , الا وفق رؤية منهجية متخصصة, فقد آثرت أن أتناول تاريخها في هذا الكتاب من جانب محدد, ينحصر في اطار واحد, مكثف ومركز, بدلا من تناوله بأسلوب يجنح للتعميم دون التخصيص, وذلك للتركيز على جانب معين من تلك الجوانب التي اشتهرت بها (خيبر) وعرفها الناس عنها منذ القدم, كمدينة تعد واحدة من أعرق وأبرز بلاد شبه الجزيرة العربية على مر الزمان.
