"في أحد المباني المنزوية في آخر الحي... تقف لوحة باهتة تشير إلى وجود عيادة طبيب نفسي، إليها تتهاوى النفوس باحثة عن ثقوب تنثر خلالها همها الطويل للتخفيف من حمل أثقل كاهلها، وحزن انزوى بين الأضلع ليتحول إلى جمر تزيد ألاه من اشتعاله وتبحث عن أيد تقوى على سلخ رداء ليل رمادي لم تصله ألوان الفرح المشعة! قادته إلى هذا المكان قطي تائهة تتخبط بعد أن أضاعت طريقها وأتى ليرتمي فوق سرير أبيض... وبجسده المنهوك ينشد الراحة، والباسم لحمى الألم الذي يستوطن جسده النحيل، يبحث عن منديل ندي بلمسات حانية، تجفف عرق الحزن الذي ارتكز فوق خطوط الزمن وتوجاته ولم يجد أفضل مكاناً من وجهه البائس!!تنهد وهو يسقط نظرة حائرة على وجه الطبيب المتجمد الملامح، بنظارته السميكة ويده المعروقة وهي تمسك القلم بكل اهتمام محاولاً تسجيل ملاحظاته. حول نظرة عن الطبيب واستدار بالاتجاه الآخر ثم استرخى وعلق عينيه بالسقف وكأنه يرى أشياء خفيت على كل من حوله... أخذ يتغصص بكلام غير مفهوم واتقدت دمعة بعينه حتى رأى أن الوجود أصبح أمامه أضيق من ثقب إبرة".
